Our first ten years

Ceres begins in an Olds College dorm room, using beer byproducts to grow mushrooms.

The concept earns innovation recognition and support to move beyond small-scale experiments.

Ceres refines its growing technology and scales production at the pilot farm.

With support from local investors and family, Ceres builds and demonstrates a larger commercial growing system.

Ceres marks a decade of mushroom growing, farm partnerships and practical problem-solving.

With capacity of up to 11,000 lb per week, Ceres supplies organic shiitake and oyster mushrooms across Western Canada.
